It's shaping up to be a season to remember for Instonians and a look at the averages shows just why.
Cade Carmichael has been the stand-out batsman with 904 runs at an average of just over 50, while in the bowling Cian Robertson's 45 wickets also leads the way comfortably.
Both have been well supported - Neil Rock and Shane Dadswell also in the top ten batters, while Andy White and oustanding all-rounder Dadswell make it three out of four Inst bowlers in the top four.
Five batsmen have scored three centuries - Carmichael, Ruhan Pretorius, Abhishek Raut, Jake Egan and Neil Brand, while leading the way on 50's with six are Faiz Fazal, Neil Rock, and Neil Whitworth.
One wonders how many runs Brand would have made if here all campaign rather than just as a stop-gap - he's made 518 runs at 86.33 in just six appearances for Templepatrick and Muckamore. Others averaging over 50 are Ludwig Kaestner and Marc Ellison, who is showing he can walk the walk as well as talk the talk!
Nine bowlers have taken 30 or more wickets, with in addition to the aforementioned Instonians trio are, Alex Armstrong, Micky Copeland, Jacob Mulder, Ryan Macbeth, Neil Whitworth, and Sean Davey.
