Templepatrick will make an immediate return to Section One after their relegation from the Premier League was confirmed by a five wickets defeat at Ballygomartin Road.

Carl Robinson saw Woodvale home, with 51 not out, winning the match and bringing up his half-century with his third six.

The Woodvale faithful were getting nervous after the loss of Ruhan Pretorius for 46 and Ludwig Kaestner for 78, the latter with 51 runs still needed but Jamie Gibson stayed with Robinson to ensure Woodvale’s Premier League safety.

Templepatrick captain Ross Bryans top scored for the visitors with 56 and Bob Smith also raised his bat for 50, but after the opener’s dismissal they could add only 85 in the last 18 overs.

Civil Service North crawled over the finish line to beat Cliftonville Academy by two wickets, albeit with more than six overs to spare.

Jared Wilson and Abhishek Raut both scored exactly 50 for the home side in their total of 215 for nine but James West made that look very light with an innings of 84 in reply.

He was fifth out in the 31st over with his side just 51 short of the winning post but captain Stuart Thompson and then Paddy Beverland were both caught off Varun Chopra and Wilson bowled Finn Lutton.

But Sean Davey was the immovable object and he was 57 not out (six fours, three sixes) when Matthew Foster hit the winning boundary.
