Phoenix go into Sunday's All-Ireland T20 clash at Instonians in good spirits after they beat leaders Leinster in a result that really opens up the Premiership race.

Monil Patel's 70 (11 fours, 1 six) was the best the Rathmines side could manage in a poor batting effort of 159 -five wickets for Raghav Grover.

Shane Getkate (45) got the chase off to a typically fast start, and half centuries for Eknoor Singh 55* (9 fours) and George Dockrell 52* (8 fours, 1 six) sealed the convincing win.

Connor Blaxall-Hill and John Anderson basked in the sunshine with after match pints amid the horsebox traffic of the Dublin Horse Show, reflecting on a job well done as they made light of a 236 target at nearby Park Avenue.

Railway Union's Phillipe Le Roux top-scored with 62 from 57 balls (5 fours, 2 sixes), while there were three wickets for Melvin Deveraj.

The chase looked in trouble as Muhammad Sinan's early wickets had them at 27 for 3, but that was the end of their success.

CBH hit 10 fours and 6 sixes in a better than even time unbeaten 131, adding an unbroken 215 with John Anderson 59* (6 fours) that sealed the seven-wicket win.

Clontarf got revenge for their Cup Final loss with a 57-run win against Pembroke at Sydney Parade.

Mitchell Thompson (127*) and Curtis Campher (124) set up the win as they added 204 for the third wicket in a stand of 204 on their way to a total of 347 for 7.

Pembroke were always behind in the chase, especially after David Vincent got the big two of Harry Tector (50) and Lorcan Tucker (44).

Gavin Hoey (69) and Paul Lawson (34) brought the loss down, but the result was never in doubt.

David Delany took four wickets, while there were also two for John McNally, David Vincent and Reuben Wilson.
