Donemana look to have pulled a rabbit out of the hat with Irish international Paul Stirling set to play in the top two clash with Brigade on Saturday. The 34-year-old is Ireland’s most capped player, scoring 12, 515 runs in his 412 appearances including a record 20 centuries.
His appearance is sure to guarantee a big attendance in the highly-anticipated clash.
Donemana regained the Premiership lead on Sunday, courtesy of a ten-wicket win at home to Bready with half centuries for skipper Gary McClintock and Jamie Huey.
Brigade though are breathing down their necks after a big win at Coleraine, and with four games left, Saturday’s match could go a long way to deciding the destiny of the title.
Donemana are of course without their overseas professional Anuj Jotin for the rest of the season. Brigade are expected to fly in their Sri Lankan overseas player Anuk Fernando for the high profile game.
It promises to be a real thriller.
