Irish international Curtis Campher has signed a short-term deal with Essex.
The Clontarf all-rounder will take part in three One-Day Cup games, starting with a potential first appearance against Surrey on Friday.
The 26-year-old is also available for their away game at Leicestershire on Sunday and the home tie against one of his former counties Gloucestershire on Sunday August 24.
"I am thrilled to be joining Essex for some white-ball action. I love county cricket and when I was presented with the opportunity I didn't have to think twice," Campher told the official Essex club website.
Campher will miss the Irish Senior Cup final between Clontarf and Balbriggan on Saturday, but is expected to feature for Munster in the Interpro Cup next week.
He famously took five wickets in five balls for the table toppers in a T20 against the NW Warriors earlier this season.
