The Czech Republic visited Romania this week for a four match men's T20I series, with all matches taking place at the Moara Vlasiei Cricket Ground in Ilfov County, north of the capital Bucharest.

The first of two matches on Thursday saw the visitors bat first after losing the toss and score 149-9, Sabawoon Davizi top scoring with 28. Home captain Vasu Saini scored 42 in the Romanian reply as they fell short at 131-8, losing by 17 runs. Sazib Bhuiyan was the pick of the bowlers with 3-19.

Romania again won the toss in the afternoon game and this time elected to bat first, scoring 176-4 from their 20 overs with Ramesh Satheesan top scoring with 49. A century partnership between Sharan Ramakrishnan (67) and Sazib Bhuiyan (56) highlighted the Czech reply but it wasn't enough to secure victory with the visitors getting bowled out for 158, an 18 run defeat. Ijaz Hussain (3-16) and Avishka Iroshan (4-10), the seventh and eighth bowlers used, were the leading wicket takers.

The final two games were both played on Friday, with Romania again batting first in the third game of the series, this time after losing the toss. Scores of 59 by Ramesh Satheesan and 66 by Avishka Iroshan helped them post 195-4 from their 20 overs. Sharan Ramakrishnan scored an unbeaten 67 from 44 balls in the Czech reply, but his was the only score of note as they were kept to 170-7 and lost by 25 runs, Rameez Khan taking 5-22.

Romania won the toss in the final game and batted first, scoring 157-8 from their 20 overs, Sivakumar Periyalwar top scoring with 52 from 37 balls before he was run out. The Czech side lost both openers for ducks in their reply but recovered to chase down their target with an over to spare, winning by four wickets to square the series. Divyendra Singh's 55 was their top score.
