Asa Tribe returned to Jersey colours today after starring for Glamorgan in the Metro Bank One Day Cup and continued an amazing run of form that has seen him score three List A centuries within a week.

Put into bat after losing the toss against Papua New Guinea at Farmers Field, Jersey were in disarray at 15-4 in the early part of their innings. But Tribe began to dominate the PNG bowlers, even as wickets tumbled around him, with the other five members of Jersey's top six all failing to reach double figures.

After 40 overs, Tribe was on 98 with Jersey's score 182-7. One more run came for Tribe in the 41st over but two wickets fell at the other end and Jersey were firmly on the back foot at 183-9.

But Tribe - who scored unbeaten innings of 122 and 131 in his last two List A games for Glamorgan wasn't done yet. He brought up his century - in 118 balls - from the next over and put his foot down from there. Dominating the last wicket partnership, his next 50 runs came in just 31 balls.

He smashed 25 from the 49th over to take his score to 175 - his List A best - before finally being dismissed from the first ball of the final over. He had added 78 for the final wicket with George Richardson, who contributed no runs to the partnership.

Jersey's total was 261, with Tribe scoring 67% of those runs. As far as I've been able to tell at the time of writing, this is a record for an all out innings in List A cricket.

In Papua New Guinea's reply, only Vagi Guba (41) and Damien Ravu (28) offered any sort of resistance as they were bowled out for 101 to lose by 160 runs. Tribe scored more runs than all 21 other players combined.

There was another match today with Kuwait beating Denmark by seven wickets thanks to Meet Bhavsar (68) and Ali Zaheer (67) putting on an unbroken 122 for the fourth wicket. But the day belonged to Asa Tribe, who has scored 499 runs in his last four List A innings and now has 1293 List A runs in 26 innings at an average of 61.57.
